You are going to experience jungle scenery in the Northern Caribbean, cloud forest in Monteverde and at the Arenal Volcano. It will allow you the freedom to drive or be driven by private driver. Tour the majestic San Carlos/Arenal area and visit the Venado Caves and the Fortuna waterfalls. Misty forest with dense vegetation and majestic trees is home to a myriad of plants, mammals, insects, reptiles, amphibians, and over 400 species of birds. In Monteverde you could take hikes in Santa Elena Cloud Forest, visit the hummingbird gallery, butterfly farm, or be adventures and do a canopy tour. Them experience the white sand beach and tropical rain forest of Quepos - Manuel Antonio and all its assorted wildlife. The tour is design to give you freedom and you my add night or you my reduce the number of nights for you tailor made vacation in this wonderful country.

Day 01: Meet & Greet. Transfer and overnight San Jose.

Day 02: Tortuguero National Park Package: (B, L, D)
Early bus transfer through the Braulio Carrillo National Park with a breakfast stop in a serene natural setting as you head towards your boat's boarding area. Your next leg is of 82km of wonderment and lush jungle as you discover many species of birds and other members of the wild kingdom. Early afternoon arrival at deluxe lodge (Jungle Style), rooms with private bathrooms, ceiling fans, dock on the canals, family style restaurant, bar and swimming pool.. Optional Escorted Turtle Tours May through November.

Day 03: Tortuguero National Park: (B)
All tours are included, entrance fees to parks is not included. Passengers participate on tours at own pace. After breakfast, a visit the local village, or to Tortuga Hill the highest point in the area. Lunch and free afternoon. There is much to see and do here as the area provides one of the finest varieties of wildlife in Central America. Regularly seen monkeys, small crocodiles, sloths, iguanas, toucans, and parrots and myriad waterbids.

Day 04- 05: Tortuguero National Park - Arenal Volcano (B)
After breakfast, air transfer to San Jose where you will pick up your 4x4 vehicle. Or if you have chosen a bilingual driver them he will be waiting for you at the airport and will be with you and at your complete disposal for the next 9 days. He will do all the driving for you, while you just ride along and enjoy all the beautiful scenery.
The lodge provides a variety of activities, such as kayaks, a tree canopy tour, canoeing, nature trail hiking and horseback ridding, always accompanied by a bilingual naturalist guide. If you want to be adventurous and daring try the Canopy tour, an exceptional adventure to let you discover and experience the wonders of the Cloud Forest. In the afternoon you my want to visit El Tabacon Spa, to enjoy the relaxing thermal heated spring pools located at the base of the Arenal Volcano. Overnight Eco-Lodge.


Day 06 - 07: Arenal to Monteverde Cloud Forest
Monteverde Cloud Forest, which means Green Mountain, is nestled high in the Tilaran mountains 184 kilometers northwest of San Jose. Misty forest with dense vegetation and majestic trees is home to a myriad of plants, mammals, insects, reptiles, amphibians, and over 400 species of birds. Orchids abound with over 300 species, some tiny and inconspicuous, while others thrive among the very lush vegetation of the canopy 125 feet above the forest floor. Howler and whiteface monkeys, sloths, blue morpho butterflies, and wattle bellbirds also call the forest home. Overnight local lodge.

 
Day 08 to 11: Monteverde Cloud Forest & Manuel Antonio National Park
Drive from Monteverde Mountain to the low lands of the Central Pacific. You could make stops at Carara Biological Reserve, Alligator Farm, the town of Jaco.
Manuel Antonio National Park: Except for Poas and Irazu Volcano National parks, this is the most popular in terms of tourism and total visitor entries. It provides a safe haven for naturalists who want to compliment their stay by experiencing a lush tropical environment still inhabited by large parrots and confined mammals. The beach is considered one of the most beautiful in the region with its rocky knolls and Spartans shore life, symbolic of regional forest. As stated, many of the key attractions like the primates and birds have become tolerant of visitors and usually maintain feeding postures as long as observers keep a safe distance. It's not uncommon to get within eight or ten meters of a troop of white-faced monkeys or as close as fifteen or twenty meters to the majestic Scarlet macaw. Overnight Karahe beach hotel or similar

Day 11: Manuel Antonio to San Jose
Drive for about three and half-hours to the City of San Jose. Here again you could make stops at various places. Overnight in San Jose Hotel

Day 12: Drive car to the airport to fly back home

** In the price of the package the driver all meals and lodge is include, not included is the daily gasoline and any of the entrance fees to Parks and Reserves for the guide. He is allow to drive for up to 9 hours and will take you where ever you my want to go. If you decide to take a naturalist bilingual guide them all charges will be included.
