Day 01: Arrival
transfer from international airport to Hotel in San Jose.
Overnight at Deluxe hotel (4 stars).
Day 02 Corcovado National Park (L,D)
Morning air transfer by plane to Palmar and by boat down a river
through exotic mangrove wetlands. A complimentary cocktail awaits you upon
arrival and before lunch. Afternoon is free to explore the nature trails and the
beach. Overnight at Lodge in Corcovado (several options are available from standard
to deluxe Jungle Lodges)
Day 03 Full-day excursion to Cano Island, with box lunch and nature
guides. (B,L,D)
After breakfast, accompanied by a resident naturalist, you will
journey and tour the Island of Cano were you could snorkel and tour the island.
Overnight at lodge.
Day 04 Full-day excursion to Corcovado National Park, with box lunch
and nature guides. (B,L,D)
A short boat trip from the lodge to Corcovado National Park for a tour to
view some of the most excellent birding and flora. Magnificent trees that
support an astounding variety of epiphytic plants. Corcovado has been called
"the most biologically intense place on earth" by no less an authority
than the National Geographic Society. Afternoon return. Overnight at Lodge.

This package if for those looking for adventure, fun and true nature. Although
the lodge's are very comfortable and beautiful, they do not have air condition,
the area is hot and humid, typical of virgin tropical rain forests. Insects and
dangerous wildlife are common in this region. Care and attention are a must.
Day 05 Corcovado National Park to Monteverde Cloud Forest. (B,L,D)
Boat and fly back to San Jose to star the journey to Monteverde Cloud
Forest with a bilingual driver/guide who will be explaining all we will be
seeing. In the afternoon there will be a visit the cheese factory, and in
the early evening we will present a very entertaining slide show. Overnight
local lodge.
Day 06: Monteverde Cloud Forest Package (B,L,D)
This morning you will be touring the Monteverde Reserve with your guide were you
could find that the resplendent Quetzal, the unique Golden Toad and a tremendous
array of many rarely recognized endangered species such as Baird's tapir and
jaguars, call the forest home. The forest stretches from the lush ferns and
mosses that cover from the ground up to the darkest canopy formed by the tallest
trees. Visit and witness the splendor of the butterfly farm, where many
different species of these beautiful creatures are found. Overnight local lodge.
Day 07 Monteverde Cloud Forest to Cano Negro Refuge and Arenal
Volcano (B,L,D)
In Cano Negro we will start our adventure on boat through a marsh lagoon. This
area constitutes a habitat of wide variety of flora and fauna, as well as it
indigenous wild life. This park and the Nicaragua Lake represents one of the
last intact humid wetlands zones of Central America. The national and
international interest of this area, is also due to the wide variety of
migratory birds that are protected here, some of which are endangered species.

Day 08 Coter Lake, horseback riding, nature hikes and more (B,L,D)
After breakfast you can explore the lodge's private reserve. Walk the many well
marked trails and enjoying the magnificent vistas of the Arenal Volcano.
All hiking tours and horseback riding are included. In the afternoon you will
visit the relaxing and rejuvenating waters of El Tabacon Spa. After dark we will
take a vantage point and view the lava flow, feel the continues eruptions of
this colossus and enjoy an unforgettable experience. Overnight at Lodge

Day 09 Arenal Volcano to San Jose (B)
After breakfast you can explore more of the Cloud Forest or enjoy the different
attractions or activities offered at The Eco Lodge, like horse back riding,
canoeing, mountain biking. In the afternoon on our way to San Jose, we will
visit the artisan town of Sarchi, the center of handcrafts of Costa Rica.

Day 10 Transfer to the airport

National Park is the only virgin tropical rain forest in this hemisphere.
