1
LOS
SUENOS BAHIA HERRADURA
Embark in Los Suenos Bahia Herradura after
a scenic drive from San Jose. This world-class resort area on the
beautiful Pacific coast of Costa Rica is Central America's newest luxury
destination. The Temptress Voyager and her crew will be awaiting your
arrival with a "welcome aboard" cocktail party, followed by an
introduction to the ship. After dinner you will adjourn to the lounge for
the first of your evening briefings on the next day's destination and
choice of activities.
DAY
2
CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK
Experience the conservation area for an
early morning bird watching hike. The Scarlet Macaws are the most
spectacular, as they loudly announce their arrival with high pitched
squawks. If you hear a cry like a puppy, look for a toucan hopping
through the trees, with its outlandish yellow bill. For a change of
pace, you may want to paddle up the Agujitas river in a kayak or
inflatable.
Dive off a waterfall into the cool fresh water or enjoy snorkeling,
swimming beachside.
DAY 3
COIBA ISLAND, PANAMA
The second biggest island of the American
Pacific Ocean, Coiba has one of the most extensive, healthiest and oldest coral
reefs in Central America and offers excellent deep sea fishing as well as
diving. Its abundant sea life includes different species of whales and colorful
fish, and its lush tropical rain forests are home to spectacular species,
including the red and green macaw.
DAY 4
ISLAS PERLAS, PANAMA
Considered Panama's jewel of
the Pacific, Islas Perlas were once a pearl-diving center and are now a
leisure playground for wealthy Panamanians and foreign visitors wanting
hideaways with amenities. The first island, Contadora, offers great
snorkeling, diving, swimming, or beachcombing. In the afternoon, you'll
have the opportunity to visit another quaint island , Pachequita. This is
an excellent dive site and bird watching dream for migrant seas
birds.
DAY 5
OCEAN TO OCEAN PANAMA CANAL TRANSIT
The
M/V Temptress Explorer will cros though the Panama Canal. Enjoy great scenery
from onboard the ship and study the engineering marvel that raises and
lowers the ship. A tour guide will be narrating throughout the entire
passage explaining the history, culture and politics of the Panama Canal a
day to remember....
DAY 6
SAN BLAS ISLANDS, PANAMA
Visit
native encampments and tour narrow pathways in search of Molas,
intricately layered cloth pattern created by the Kuna. Shell works,
carvings and even gold ornamentation. The appealing seas will lure you
into the water where you will discover over 120 species of colorful
fish.
DAY 7
HOLLANDAISE CAYES, PANAMA
Dive,
swim or explore the islands which make up Hollandaise Cayes. During the
late afternoon, birders can watch osprey move across the islands in search
of fish. Their dives are magnificent and are commonly seen within yards of
the ship.
DAY 8
COLON, PANAMA
Founded
in 1850, Colon is located on the northern end of the Panama Canal. It is
one of the most important ports in the Caribbean and has large custom
house, many churches and public buildings.
