Day 01:
You
will be picked up at your hotel
and transfer to the local airport to flight to Palmar Sur
where you will be transfer to the dock of the Sierpe River.
Access to Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge is
only by motor launch. The adventure begins two hours before your arrival
as the launch leaves the Sierpe River and follows the Pacific coast. Your
accommodations at this "Lost World" are artfully-appointed individual
bungalows offering tiled floors, hot showers and ceiling fans. The Lodge
is supplied with mountain spring water, and is surrounded by virgin
rainforest. Electricity is provided 24 hours a day by hydroelectric and
solar systems. This is your opportunity to discover the vibrant life of
the rainforest. Enjoy beach-combing on our half-kilometer-long pristine
beach then refresh yourself under a waterfall. Casa Corcovado is the
closest lodge to Caņo Island Biological Reserve, a diver's paradise.
Here you can picnic on a white sand beach sheltered by coconut palms and
snorkel among the coral reefs. Lunch & Dinner
Day
02: After breakfast take the guided of
Caņo Island. Offshore lies Caņo Island, an ancient Indian burial ground.
Picnic on a white sand beach sheltered by coconut palms and snorkel
among the coral reefs that surround this tropical paradise. There will
be time for a hike up to the burial grounds in the interior of the
island. Round trip boat transportation will be provide by the lodge.
Afternoon to enjoy the lodge pool or the beautiful beach.
Breakfast - lunch - dinner.
Day 03:
Breakfast, HIKING IN CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK
Guided by a naturalist through the trails of the park, you will enjoy an
incredible waterfall and picnic on one of the beautiful beaches of the
National Park. Corcovado National Park, the last remaining Pacific
lowland rainforest of sustainable size in Central America. Located on
the Osa Peninsula in southwestern Costa Rica, Corcovado is the "crown
jewel" of a world-renowned national park system.
Including thirteen separate ecosystems, almost one hundred species of
trees and nearly four hundred species of birds, Corcovado has been
called "the most biologically intense place on earth" by no less an
authority than the National Geographic Society. Here among the largest
trees of Costa Rica, can be found the densest population of tapirs,
jaguars and scarlet macaws in Meso-America.
Day 04:
After breakfast you will board the boat and go back through the Sierpe
River one of the largest mangroves in Costa Rica to the dock. Transfer
to the airport, flight to San Jose, and a land transfer to your hotel.
