monteverde cloud forest package with tortuga island - costa rica Day 01: You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning and travel the scenic Pan-American Highway  seated on an air-conditioned bus and served a continental breakfast. The bus ride takes you from San Jose. with an excellent opportunity to view the coffee, sugar plantations, volcanic mountains and the unique Brahman cattle that form an ever-changing panorama. 
Upon arrival in Puntarenas you will board Calypso's super catamaran Manta Raya.  Manta Raya features an underwater viewing window, fresh water showers and full bar. The spacious air-conditioned main salon combines with an expansive deck area which includes 2 Jacuzzi pools, offering a level of cruising luxury and comfort. Particularly enchanting for it's beauty, Tortuga Island is known for its immaculate white sand beach and turquoise waters, a perfect stop for swimming, snorkeling, shell collecting, and time to explore the island's tropical rain forest    The lunch will be served on the beach with pastry, appetizers, tropical fruits, ceviche, corvina, and a variety of salads. On your way back on the yacht snacks and live music. Then its on to Monteverde. You will arrive in the evening, in time for dinner and to settle in your hotel. Overnight Heliconia Hotel (standard), or Sapo Dorado  (deluxe).

monteverde cloud forest package with tortuga island - costa rica Day 02: After breakfast visit the Monteverde Reserve, Costa Rica's premier cloud forest. . The forest stretches from the lush ferns and mosses that cover from the ground up to the darkest canopy formed by the tallest trees. In the misty cloud forest, visitors will see one of the richest and most abundant displays of flora in the world. The cloud forest houses a wealth of wildlife. The area in which this forests is found is one of the few remaining zones in Central America where the resplendent quetzal finds protection. Sightings sometimes depend on patience and luck.

Birdwatchers will be delighted to admire many of the different species that live in our forest. Such as the three wattle bellbird, the long tailed manakin, emerald toucan and wide variety of hummingbirds.

 After lunch visit the butterfly farm and a working ecological farm. Dinner will be waiting for you upon your return to the Heliconia Hotel (standard) or Sapo Dorado (deluxe) for overnight.

The Monteverde Cloud Forest region on most mornings will be nice and clear warm side. Late afternoons and evenings will become cooler and at times fogy with light drizzly.
