Day 01:    Morning hotel pick up by our bilingual driver/guide who will be explaining all you will be seeing as you begin your journey from San Jose to the mystic and exotic setting of the Monteverde Cloud Forest and the Corobici River. Located in the Guanacaste Province, between the Bevedero and Tempisque Rivers, approximately 30km west of Canas. This national Park is made up of mosaic of diverse flood-plain habitats, bordered by Rivers and a ridge of limestone hills. These habitats include salt and fresh water lakes and swamps, grasslands with black mangroves, mangrove swamps, pastures, lowland stunted forests, wooded savannas and evergreen forests. Palo Verde's natural water system has created an environment capable of supporting one of the largest concentrations of waterfowl and wading birds, both native and migratory, in the country and in fact, in all of Central America. In the late afternoon we will journey to Monteverde Cloud Forest as the sun sets over the mountain. In the early evening we will present a very entertaining slide show which we hope it will describe better the rich history that forms the basis for this lovely area and it's many wonders. Day 02:    Monteverde Cloud Forest. 7 a.m. breakfast. During the day visit the Monteverde Cloud Forest for a guided walk along the paths of this unique and world famous reserve. Observe sloth's, golden toads, an infinite variety of ferns, trees, broad leaf plants, orchids, and other tropical flora in this rare, unequaled Central American region of over 4,000 acres of virgin cloud forest. Here you will find that the resplendent Quetzal, the unique Golden Toad and a tremendous array of many rarely recognized endangered species such as Baird's tapir and jaguars, call the forest home. The forest stretches from the lush ferns and mosses that cover from the ground up to the darkest canopy formed by the tallest trees. A visit will be made to the Cheese Factory. Bring binoculars and walking shoes. Lunch at the Hotel, free time to enjoy the beautiful view, walk or just rest. Dinner and overnight at Heliconia Hotel (standard) or Sapo Dorado (deluxe)

Day 03:     Departure after breakfast; try the "Gallo Pinto", and bound for your next destination. For those returning to San Jose we will journey via Sarchi and the Oxcart Factory. Sarchi, which for a century has been the center of production of the hand, painted oxcart. At the factory you will be able to see the artisans at work and you can purchase souvenirs and unique furniture of the finest quality. For other destinations, we will provide descriptions as necessary. The Monteverde Cloud Forest region on most mornings will be nice and clear warm side. Late afternoons and evenings will become cooler and at times fogy with light drizzly. Overnight at Heliconia Hotel (standard), or Sapo Dorado (deluxe ). Recommended, warm clothes, light windbreaker and good walking shoes. ***The order of tours might not follow the order described. ***
