Playa Conchal is located in the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica on the northern Pacific Coast, just minutes away form the touristic beach towns of Flamingo and Tamarindo. The site is accessible by air travel from San Jose to the Tamarindo airport, a 10-minute drive from the southwest. The Daniel Oduber International Airport in the city of Liberia to the east is a 45-minute drive. It takes approximately 3 to 4 hours of a beautiful scenic drive to the property from the capital city of San Jose.
The 2300-acre (930 hectare) property feature more than 5,000-yards of coastline accentuated by a rocky peninsula with steep undulating topography. A white sandy beach approximately 2,500 yards long, offers magnificent views of the coastline and is one of the siteís primary attributes. A steep ridge over 130 yards above sea level, extends east-west through the central part of the property and virtually divides it equally. The northern slope of this ridge offers spectacular ocean views over the existing All suite Melia Playa Conchal hotel-resort and Garra de Leon Golf Course, which occupy approximately 10% of the property along the eastern portion of the beach. |
