Naturales Rafting on the Sarapiquí River - (Class III) Winding through the region of the "Eternal Spring," this river offers
some of Costa Rica's most lush and vibrant scenery. Free-flowing, it has
its origins in clear mountain streams that tumble down through thick
rainforest, finally joining together in the crystal waters of the
beautiful Sarapiquí. Verdant forest reaches right up to the river's
sun-basked banks. If Matisse had This narrow, low-volume river is ideal for white-water novices, as well
as families, all of whom will enjoy its moderately flowing rapids,
interspersed with tranquil stretches. The journey is also excellent for
bird-watchers and other nature lovers, as the river stretches its way

Pick up from your San José hotel, driving approximately 2 1/2 hours
to the river put-in.
Rafting on the Reventazón River - Florida Section (Class
III)
Depart from San José, driving approximately 2 hours to the
Reventazón River. Breakfast en route. At the put in you'll rig your raft
and begin the journey downriver. River time: approximately 2 1/2 hours
depending on the water level. Lunch on the riverbank before the afternoon
take out and return to San José. Trip length: 8 miles.
Rafting on the Pacuare River (Class III - IV)
Depart from San José, driving approximately 3 hours to the put in.
Breakfast en route. At the put in you'll rig your raft and begin the
journey downriver. River time: approximately 4 hours depending on the
water level. Lunch on the riverbank before the afternoon take out at which
time you can shower and change into dry clothes. Return to San
José.
Rafting on the Reventazón River - Pascua Section (Class IV) The Pascua Section will thrill you with the ultimate white knuckle
experience in river rafting. Intensive, nonstop action plunges your raft
forward through rapid twists, mind-defying turns, and steep, unexpected
drops. First introduced in 1990 by guides from Aventuras Naturales, this
stupendous section of roaring rapids is a "Nonstop Roller Coaster
Ride." Recommended only for the active rafter in good physical condition.
Prior white-water rafting experience is required. Includes safety
kayaker. Depart from San José, driving approximately 2-1/2 hours to the put
in. Breakfast en route. At the put in you'll rig your raft and begin the
journey downriver. River time: approximately 3-1/2 hours depending on the
water level. Lunch on the riverbank before the mid-afternoon take out and
return to San José.
Rafting on the Reventazón River - Guayabo Section (Class V) The most explosive rapids in Costa Rica available for commercial
white-water rafting trips. Recommended only for power rafters. Prior
white-water rafting experience with Aventuras Naturales is required. The
guide in charge has the right to exclude anyone at his/her own discretion,
or to switch to another stretch of the Reventazón River due to safety
conditions. Includes safety kayaker. Depart from San José, driving approximately 2 hours to the put in.
Breakfast en route. River time: Approximately 3 hours depending on the
water level. Take out will be in the afternoon followed by a hot lunch
before your return to San José.
Rafting on the Corobici River (Class II) This is the calmest rafting trip offered in Costa Rica - safe enough
for children, and gentle enough for the elderly to enjoy. You will
leisurely raft along the quiet, lovely Corobici River as it crosses a
region of tropical dry forest where you may sight some of the 300 species
of birds that inhabit the nearby Palo Verde National Park. Depart from San José, driving approximately 3 hours to the Corobici
River. Breakfast en route. At the put in you'll rig your raft and begin
the journey downriver. River time: approximately 3 hours depending on the
water level. Lunch before an afternoon return to San José.
Cycling Irazú

Cycling Guayabo After a short, scenic bus ride to Turrialba, we begin our biking tour
heading for the spectacular Guayabo Canyon Falls, continuing on through
Guayabo National Monument, the most significant Pre-Columbian
archeological site in Costa Rica. Here you will have time to explore the
excavated central part of a 10,000-inhabitant city that existed from 1000
B.C. to around 1400 A.D. Most of the ruins are still undiscovered. The
length of this trip is 20 miles (32kms) and is rated moderate to
