PACUARE CANOPY ADVENTURE Walk, climb, and glide your way through the treetops of one of Costa Rica's most spectacular rainforests in an unparalleled eco-adventure. Nowhere else can you combine a white-water rafting excursion with this exciting glimpse into one of the world's remaining frontiers. The Pacuare Canopy Adventure begins with a short, 5-minute hike into the beautiful rainforest surrounding the Pacuare Lodge. From here, you will soar from the mountainside starting point on a horizontal cable into the forest canopy, the summit of one of Costa Rica's internationally famous rainforests. In a series of exciting maneuvers that include hanging and climbing across transverse cables from one platform to another, you will experience an exhilarating view of what has been called the most complex of earth's biological communities. A highlight of this adventure is an approximately 500-meter (1,650-foot) horizontal extension that you will cross gliding along a cable. This is the longest Canopy Tour extension in Costa Rica, and indeed the world. Ending the tour is a slide that will drop you into a safety net, from which you have a short rappel down to the forest floor.
