the Rio Savegre
This full day adventure takes you to
the Rio Savegre for guided, scenic rafting. Rafting class III and
class IV in 6-person rafts or in 2-person inflatable kayaks.
There are great swimming holes, wide
variety of birds (egrets, toucans, cormorants, ospreys) and other
wildlife. You will stop at a waterfall and enjoy lunch along the
river bank prepared by your guides.
Whitewater Rafting on the Rio Naranjo
The
fit and adventurous race down the Rio Naranjo through a delightful
succession of rapids and lovely pools as this tropical river makes its
way through the Costa Rican jungle and palm plantations on its journey
out to sea. Usually a fun Class III river, the Naranjo River can move
quickly to higher levels of difficulty and adrenalin during a heavy
rain upstream. After a compelling set of rapids in the first stretch
you will enjoy a delicious lunch served onshore at the halfway point,
near the tiny village of Londres. Estrella Tour works closely with the
highest quality outfitters and the very best river guides available in
the Quepos area to bring you this challenging, fun-filled whitewater
adventure.
Whitewater Rafting on
the Rio Parrita
Full Day
The
Rio Parrita gently winds its way through fun and forgiving class II
rapids. This trip is perfect for families and beginners, or for anyone
who would like to laze their way down one of the most intensely
beautiful rivers in the world. Remarkably pristeen, the Parrita River
corridor is a favorite among Costa Rican naturalists. You will delight
at the incredible number of giant cranes, ibis, egrets, herons and
storks feeding along the shore. Whether you raft gently in the crystal
clear waters of lower flows, or in the chocolate adrenalin of a
rainstorm from upstream, the alligators, caimans, iguanas or cherepos
you pass along the way won't mind your presence. Come float through
this living museum of natural history and watch time stand still.
