EcoLodge San Luis & Biological Station is a working farm adjacent to the
Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve in northwestern Costa Rica. The site
boasts incomparable natural beauty set amidst the tranquility of the
unspoiled Costa Rican countryside.
Guided rainforest tours,
birdwatching expeditions, and hiking trips provide guests with an
insider's view of the rainforest's spectacular wildlife. Guided horsepacking trips are also available.
Guest accommodations include
a bunkhouse and a bungalow with private rooms. For those desiring more
privacy, spacious cabinas with private baths and verandas overlooking the
spectacular San Luis River Gorge are located an 8 minute walk away from
the dining hall.
Guests enjoy family style meals in the main
lodge's spacious dining room. The modern kitchen serves delicious, home
cooked Costa Rican country fare, made with farm fresh ingredients grown on
site.
