Costa
Rica
is located between two large masses of land: North America and South
America. Two oceans bath it: the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
Due to its privileged geographical position it serves as a cultural and
biological crossroads for a vast quantity of species.
One of Costa Rica’s main attractions for millions of naturalists is
bird watching. There are more than 850 species on record, 600 of these
are indigenous to the country and the rest are migratory. At Eco-lodge
you will find 350 of these species, dutifully identified
We
have a detailed list
of the species sighted at Eco-lodge.
Among the most commonly sighted species are the woodpecker, toucans,
tangaras, eagles, hummingbirds and others.
